DAY 1 & DAY 2: MAY 28 & MAY 29 – HONOLULU – OSAKA

Board our international flight from Honolulu to Osaka. Meals on board. Upon arrival at Kansai International Airport on Day 2, an Air & Sea Travel representative will greet us and transfer us to our hotel near Universal Studios Japan. Check in, relax, and prepare for our journey across Japan.

DAY 3: MAY 30 – OSAKA – NARA – OSAKA (B, L)

After breakfast, travel to Nara, Japan’s historic ancient capital. Visit Nara Park, home to 1,200 sacred free-roaming sika deer, and explore Todaiji Temple, a UNESCO site housing the Great Buddha. Enjoy a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, then return to Osaka to explore Shinsaibashi Shopping Street and the vibrant Dotonbori district, famous for its neon lights and Glico Running Man sign. Dinner is on your own.

DAY 4: MAY 31 – OSAKA – KYOTO – OSAKA (B)

Travel to Kyoto to visit UNESCO-listed Kiyomizu-dera, renowned for its massive wooden stage. Stroll through historic Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka streets, then visit the iconic Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion). Participate in a hands-on Kyo-Yuzen craft activity to dye your own tote bag using traditional kimono techniques. Return to Osaka for an evening at leisure with dinner on your own.

DAY 5: JUN 1 – OSAKA (UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN) (B)

Enjoy a full day at Universal Studios Japan. Explore world-class attractions across immersive areas like SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Minion Park. Experience thrilling rides, live entertainment, and character encounters at your own pace. Later, explore Universal CityWalk Osaka for souvenirs and dining.

DAY 6: JUN 2 – OSAKA – HAKONE (B, D)

Board the bullet train from Shin-Osaka to Mishima Station, enjoying a train bento box for lunch on your own. Transfer to scenic Hakone to visit historic Hakone Shrine on Lake Ashi, take a sightseeing lake cruise, and ride the Hakone Ropeway for views of Owakudani and Mount Fuji. Check into our hot spring hotel for a relaxing soak and group dinner.

DAY 9: JUN 5 – TOKYO (B)

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Tokyo. Join our tour leader to shop in popular districts like Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza, or Tokyo Solamachi. Alternatively, visit Tokyo Disneyland independently (inquire your agent) to experience a Japanese-style Disney theme park.

DAY 10: JUN 6 – TOKYO – HONOLULU (B)

Begin with a hands-on activity making a realistic Japanese food sample fruit parfait. Next, explore Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai for local seafood and delicacies on your own. Visit historic Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise-dori in Asakusa before transferring to Narita Airport for our return flight back to Honolulu.
