DAY 1–2 | APR 11 – APR 12 | HONOLULU – NARITA – TAIPEI | DEPARTURE & ARRIVAL
Depart Honolulu aboard Japan Airlines for Taipei, connecting in Narita. Meals and snacks are served in flight as we cross the International Date Line. Upon arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on Day 2, meet the Air & Sea Travel representative and transfer to the hotel. After check-in, settle in and enjoy time to get acquainted with Taipei, Taiwan’s energetic capital and cultural center. Overnight in Taipei.
DAY 3 | APR 13 | TAIPEI – HSINCHU – TAICHUNG | BROWN SUGAR BUN & GAOMEI WETLANDS | (B/L/D)
Begin with breakfast before traveling through Hsinchu toward Taichung. Visit Xin Cheng Feng Tang, a community-based sustainable agriculture project surrounded by sugarcane orchards cultivated without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on brown sugar steamed bun-making experience. After lunch, continue to Gaomei Wetlands, a protected west-coast landscape of mudflats and marshes with abundant plant and bird life. Enjoy dinner, then check in to the hotel in Taichung.
DAY 4 | APR 14 | TAICHUNG | CREATIVE DISTRICTS & FENGJIA NIGHT MARKET | (B/L)
After breakfast, visit the Taichung Literature Museum, housed in restored colonial-era buildings that celebrate the city’s literary heritage. Continue to Audit Village, where former government dormitories now hold cafés, boutiques, handmade crafts, and local brands. After lunch, discover Rainbow Village’s vivid open-air art before viewing the National Taichung Theater, Toyo Ito’s flowing, “sound cave”-inspired landmark. Tonight, explore Fengjia Night Market at your own pace, browsing local snacks, drinks, shopping, and entertainment. Dinner is on your own. Return to the Taichung hotel afterward.
DAY 5 | APR 15 | TAICHUNG – YEHLIU – JINSHAN – TAIPEI | SCULPTED COASTLINE | (B/L/D)
Leave Taichung after breakfast and travel back toward Taipei. Explore Yehliu Geopark, where marine erosion and weathering have shaped mushroom rocks, sea caves, candle rocks, giant’s kettles, and the iconic Queen’s Head. Enjoy an included lunch, then continue to Jinshan Old Street for traditional shops, Taiwanese snacks, herbal products, handmade pastries, and signature duck dishes. After dinner, arrive in Taipei and check in to the hotel.
DAY 6 | APR 16 | TAIPEI | NATIONAL PALACE MUSEUM & YANGMINGSHAN | (B/L)
Begin at the National Palace Museum, home to an extraordinary collection of Chinese art treasures spanning centuries of imperial history. After lunch, continue to Yangmingshan National Park, a volcanic landscape of crater lakes, sulfur fumaroles, hot springs, grassy plains, and seasonal wildlife. Visit Little Oil Pit, the park’s most active cinder cone and a vivid example of post-volcanic geology. Return to the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner is on your own.
DAY 7 | APR 17 | TAIPEI | HISTORIC STREETS, TAIPEI 101 & DIN TAI FUNG | (B/D)
After breakfast, visit Dalongdong Bao’an Temple, an 18th-century place of worship admired for intricate wood carvings, colorful murals, stonework, and traditional architecture. Continue to Dihua Street, one of Taipei’s oldest commercial districts, with preserved shopfronts, tea houses, and traditional markets. Lunch is on your own. This afternoon, see Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and its grand plaza, then ascend Taipei 101’s observation deck for panoramic city views. Tonight, dine at Din Tai Fung and savor its celebrated xiaolongbao, or steamed soup dumplings, before returning to the hotel.
DAY 8 | APR 18 | TAIPEI | FULL DAY AT LEISURE | (B)
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Taipei. Browse department stores and neighborhood shops, revisit a favorite district, or sample local dishes that catch your eye. Breakfast is included; lunch and dinner are on your own. Return to the hotel at your convenience for the final overnight in Taiwan.
DAY 9 | APR 19 | TAIPEI – HANEDA – HONOLULU | RETURN HOME | (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Taipei Songshan International Airport for the return flight to Honolulu, connecting through Haneda. Arrive home with memorable impressions of Taiwan’s culture, scenery, architecture, and flavors.

Expect about 1–2 hours of walking on many sightseeing days, mainly on paved museum, temple, market, and city paths. Yehliu Geopark, Gaomei Wetlands, and Yangmingshan may add uneven surfaces, steps, or prolonged standing, but the itinerary includes transfers and leisure time.
