Itinerary, Departures, & Destinations

B: Breakfast | L: Lunch | D: Dinner | SD: Special Dinner

Day 1** Dec. 1| Honolulu –> Incheon — Seoul
Our vacation starts by boarding an international flight bound for Seoul, the capital of South Korea.  Meals and snacks will be served on the plane.

Day 2** Dec. 2 | Seoul | (D)
We arrive at Incheon International Airport where an Air and Sea Travel representative will greet us and transfer us to our hotel in Namdaemun.   Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before checking in to our hotel.

Day 3** Dec. 3 | Seoul – Nami Island — Seoul | (B, L, D)
This morning, we will transfer to Gapyeong to visit the Garden of Morning Calm, one of Korea’s major botanical gardens.  The garden aims to promote the beauty of Korean flowers and plants to the world, and it also plays an important role in developing Korea’s garden culture.  Then we will move to Nami Island, a tiny half-moon shaped island located in Chuncheon.  It was formed as a result of the construction of Cheongpyeong Dam.  We will take the Ferry to get to the island and stroll along the beautiful tree lined and enjoy the nature.  It is also a very popular lovely and romantic place among Koreans and can be seen in most Korean dramas, like “Winter Sonata”.  This afternoon, we will return to Seoul and visit the Namsan Seoul Tower, one of the tallest towers in Asia and the representative landmarks in Seoul.  The top of the tower is at almost 480 meters above sea level.  We will go up to the observation tower (370 meters above sea level) which allows us to view the most spectacular views of downtown Seoul and the surrounding. Tonight, let’s enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 4** Dec. 4 | Seoul | (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a free day to shop and eat whatever looks interesting. “Shop till you drop; eat till you overflow!”

Day 5** Dec. 5 | Seoul | (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will visit Ikseon-dong Hanok Village, offers a unique mix of modern and traditional elements, established in the 1920s.  Despite the passage of time, the village is still a lived-in neighborhood, home to many residents.  The twists and turns of narrow alleys may seem all the same, but each path is lined with attractive shops and cafes decorated with unique characteristics of their own.  Next, we will visit Tongin Market, originally established for Japanese residents in 1941, during the Japanese occupation.  It was converted for Korean street vendors after the Korean War. The market now consists of over 70 stores, most of which are restaurant and grocery shops.  The market features a Dosirak (lunchbox) cafe.  We can try to purchase some local snacks around the market with tokens from the cafe.   Afterward, we will get to experience Korean Culture.  First, we can try our hand at making Korean hand roll (Gimbap), we will have a chance to enjoy your creation.  Then we will enjoy the time trying on Hanbok (traditional costume).  Tonight, we will enjoy an innovative art performance “The Painters HERO”, with mind-blowing skills of live drawing and incredible visual effects filled with a witty blend of mime, dance and comedy right before your eyes.

Day 6** Dec. 6 | Seoul | (B)
Today, we will spend some time to do last minute shopping at Myeongdong, a huge pedestrian marketplace with lots of shopping in the heart of Seoul.  We can also visit the Korean Dollar Shop Daiso.  In the evening, we will transfer to the airport for our return flight home ending our fantastic journey in Korea.

We wish you a safe journey and have many wonderful memories to share with family and friends! ☺
