Day 1**Jun. 7 | Honolulu –> Taoyuan (Taipei)

Day 2**Jun. 8 | Taipei
Upon arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, an Air & Sea Travel representative will greet us and escort us to our hotel.
Day 3**Jun. 9 | Taipei | (B, D)
Today, we can enjoy our time in Taipei Zoo, one of the largest municipal zoos in the world. As the zoo is home to more than 400 animal species, rest assured there’s plenty to see! The zoo includes 7 indoor exhibits, each with different themes. At the Insectarium you’ll meet several butterfly species unique to Taiwan. Next, you won’t want to miss the hugely popular Koala House and Penguin House. There are also two giant pandas from China! These animals are the Zoo’s resident celebrities, so be sure to check them out! The star of the zoo used to be the Asian Elephant “Grandpa Lin Wang,” who lived to the ripe old age of 86. Lin’s longevity—20 years older than most Asian Elephants—was hailed by zoologists as a miracle. After his death, Lin was stuffed and put on display in the Education Center, and now enjoys the distinction of being the world’s largest stuffed Asian Elephant! Apart from the indoor exhibits, the Taipei Zoo also features 8 outdoor exhibit areas. The latter are divided according to geographical environment, and possess educational value both as exhibits and ecological environments. The “Children’s Zoo,” “Formosan Animal Area,” and “African Animal Area” are the most popular, according to Internet voting. The Formosan Animal Area includes endemic species like Formosan sika deer, Taiwan macaque, and Swinhoe’s pheasant. These animals can only be found in Taiwan—definitely worth a look! Afterward, we will move to Taipei 101 located in Xinyi business district, the most developed business district in the capital city of Taipei. Taipei 101 is a landmark skyscraper, formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center and formerly ranked as the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010. Today, you can take the Guinness World Record breaking high-speed elevator to the observatory on the 89th floor, traveling at 1,010 meters/min (60.6KPH), taking only 37 seconds to ascend to the observatory. The observatory deck provides an unobstructed view of the city in all directions. Tonight, we will enjoy our lunch at Taiwan’s iconic Din Tai Fung, a world-famous, award-winning restaurant specializing in Xiaolongbao (small steamed dumplings).
Day 4**Jun. 10 | Taipei | (B, L)
After breakfast, our first stop is Golden Pineapple Castle, where we will have an enjoyable Hands-on DIY Experience Making Pineapple Cake. We will taste traditional Taiwanese Beef Noodle for today’s lunch. Next, we will drive to Shifen Old Street, a bustling hub for those eager to get a glimpse of an old railroad town which still retains the charm of yesteryear. Originally built to transport coal, the Shifen Old Street stop has now become one of the most popular on the Pingxi rail-line. The Sky Lanterns at Shifen Old Street were once used as a signaling system for those living and working in the railroad industry. Today, we can paint wishes with calligraphy before releasing the lanterns into the sky. Tonight, we will take a tour of the bustling Night Market, where local merchants sell snacks and provide entertainment. We will then walk around and experience Taiwan’s nightlife. Enjoy dinner on your own in the night market before returning to the hotel.
