 Day 3**Jan. 26 | Shanghai | (B, L, D)
The Bund is the Landmark of Shanghai, with many historical buildings along the river.  All these buildings were used by government organizations a few years back.  Now, there are many restaurants, bars, clubs and boutiques in them.  This morning, we will explore the Special Economic Zone of Pudong and walk along the East Side of Huangpu River with memorable views of the Bund and PuDong (the new financial district).  Afterward, we will transfer to Jin Mao Tower, the 3rd tallest skyscraper in China. We can walk along the glass skywalk on the 88th sightseeing floor and get a sweeping view of the sceneries on the banks of Huangpu River.  Tonight, a special night tour has been arranged–a Boat Ride on the Huangpu River.  We will be treated to a night view of Shanghai with buildings and towers ablaze with colorful lights.  Shanghai’s landmark, the Oriental Pearl Tower, is especially bright and clear and stands out at night.

Day 4**Jan. 27 | Shanghai – Hangzhou | (B, L, D)
After an enjoyable hearty hotel breakfast this morning, we will head to Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province and one of the most renowned and prosperous cities in China because of its beautiful natural scenery.  The city’s West Lake is its best-known attraction.  With hills surrounding three sides of the lake, the lake has inspired famous poets, scholars and artists since the 9th century.  It is composed of numerous temples, pagodas, pavilions, gardens and ornamental trees, as well as causeways and artificial islands.  It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011.  A Boat Ride is arranged for us to enjoy the beauty of the lake, followed by a visit to a Green Tea Plantation Village.  Here we will enjoy a cup of Dragon Well Tea, well known worldwide for its sweet and delicate flavor.  The green tea produced here has had a stellar reputation since the Ming Dynasty.

Hotel accommodation: Fubang Lijia International Hotel or Similar 5*

Day 5**Jan. 28 | Hangzhou – Wuxi | (B, L, D)
This morning, we will drive to Wuxi, a major tourist area of the Lower Yangtze Delta.  It has both natural and man-made places of interest.  Upon arrival, we will visit The Grand Buddha at Ling Shan, one of the largest Buddha statues in China and also in the world.  At more than 88 meters high, the Grand Buddha at Ling Shan is an outdoor bronze Sakyamuni standing Buddha, weighing over 700 tons, and has become a symbol of Wuxi.  Taihu Lake’s Pearl is famous in the region; we will proceed to a water pearl center to learn more about it.

Hotel accommodation: Holiday Inn Express Wuxi Taihu New City or Similar 5*

Day 6**Jan. 29 | Wuxi – Nanjing | (B, L, D)
Today, we will depart for Nanjing, the second-largest commercial center in the East China region after Shanghai.  Its current name means “Southern Capital” and Nanjing has had a prominent place in Chinese history and culture, having served as the capital for various Chinese dynasties, kingdoms, and republican governments from the 3rd century AD to 1949.  Upon arrival, we will visit the place where Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the National Father of China, was laid to rest at Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum, classified as an AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration.  It is a must see place when touring Nanjing.  Another famous ancient relic in the city is the Confucian Temple, first built in 1034 during the Song Dynasty and used as a site to offer sacrifices to Confucius.  It is a place full of the Chinese civilization where you can get to know the honest folkway of Nanjing.  After lunch, we will visit a jade workshop, where we will learn about Chinese Jade Culture.  The day ends after visiting Qinhuai River that runs through central Nanjing.  It’s also the birthplace of the age-old Nanjing culture.  As such, it’s called “Nanjing’s mother river” and is the “life blood” of the city.

Hotel accommodation: Golden Eagle Summit Hotel Nanjing or Similar 5*

 Day 7**Jan. 30 | Nanjing – Suzhou | (B, L, D)
Today we will continue our journey to Suzhou.  Suzhou has over 2,500 years of rich history and an abundant supply of relics of the past.  In the afternoon, we will visit The Suzhou Museum, a museum of ancient Chinese art, paintings, calligraphy, and handmade crafts.  The museum has a display area of 2,200 square meters and more than 15,000 pieces in its collections.  The current building was designed by Pritzker Prize-winning Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei in association with Pei Partnership Architects.  The new Suzhou Museum is said to be the last design in Mr. Pei’s career.  Then, we will visit the Suzhou Embroidery Workshop to learn about the history of this intricate art form and also have an opportunity to observe a professional embroidery artist at work.

Hotel accommodation: Renaissance Suzhou Wujiang or Similar 5*

Day 8**Jan. 31| Suzhou – Shanghai | (B, L, D)
In the morning, we will take a Boat Ride to explore the Grand Canal which is second only to the Great Wall as an ancient Chinese engineering feat.  It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014.  Because this region is famous for its delicate and smooth silk and embroidery, we have arranged for a visit to a Silk Factory to learn about the process from silkworm chrysalis to fabric.  Then we will return to Shanghai and visit the Open Market at The City God Temple.  The City God Temple was built in the fifteenth century during the Ming Dynasty.  Originally a temple built to honor the Han statesman Huo Guang (68 B.C.), it is a busy market today, specializing in traditional arts and crafts.  We can enjoy shopping for souvenirs or checking out food shops.

Hotel accommodation: Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel or Similar 5*

 Day 9**Feb. 1 | Shanghai | (B)
Today, please enjoy free time to relax and explore this fascinating city on your own.

You can also take an optional tour to Shanghai Disneyland Park. As the sixth in the world and the second in China (after Hong Kong Disneyland), Shanghai Disneyland holds many records among the Disney parks.  It has the tallest theme Castle – Enchanted Storybook Castle, the first garden-designed zone, and the first pirate-themed garden.  It also combines movie figures with Chinese culture, like the Chinese Zodiac Murals in the Gardens of Imagination.  Visitors can also enjoy classical musicals and stage plays, like Tarzan: Call of the Jungle, Frozen: A Sing-along Celebration, and the Lion King.  Mickey’s Storybook Express cruises through the six parks during the day.  With inspiring music, the movie figures put on interesting performances on the street and give guests an unforgettable great time.

Day 10**Feb. 2 | Shanghai – Honolulu | (B)
Today, we will say goodbye to Shanghai and transfer to the airport for our return flight home, taking with us lasting memories of this wonderful trip to China.
