After arriving at Auckland International Airport in the afternoon, an Air & Sea Travel representative will greet and escort us to our hotel. SKYCITY is the premiere entertainment destination in the heart of Auckland’s Central Business District (CBD). The complex includes a 700-seat theater, a convention center, 12 bars and restaurants, and two hotels. The only Casino in Auckland is located at the base of the Sky Tower. Our hotel is nearby so please enjoy your free time here and try your luck in the casino or go shopping for souvenirs.

Day 4|Oct 22|Auckland – Waitomo Caves – Rotorua|(B, D)
After breakfast, we will head to the south and transfer to the Waitomo Region where the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves are located.  More than 30 million years ago, the Waitomo Caves began with the creation of limestone at the bottom of the ocean.  Now these limestone formations stand as one of New Zealand’s most inspiring natural wonders and a must-see destination.  The Waitomo region is home to unforgettable sightseeing attractions.  A guide will escort our group underground to discover the Limestone Caverns and Glowworm Caves.  After exploring the glowworms caves, we will transfer to Rotorua, the thermal wonderland in New Zealand. This evening we will enjoy a traditional Maori Hangi Feast, followed by a Maori Concert featuring Maori songs, chants and the stirring haka.

Day 5| Oct 23|Rotorua|(B, L, D)
This morning we will visit the Agrodome for a unique New Zealand farm experience. A Farm Tour, we’ll get to hand-feed all sorts of friendly animals, including Romney sheep, cattle, deer, llamas, ostrich, pigs and alpacas and take photos with them.  We can explore a certified fruit orchard and olive grove and have the chance to taste natural kiwi fruit juice and delicious sweet honey produced at the farm. Then, we will enjoy a Sheep Show, a display featuring New Zealand’s various sheep breeds with a shearing demonstration and a fun sheep auction with bidding from the audience.  After lunch we will visit Te Puia, home of the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute and the Thermal Reserve, world famous for its mud pools and Pōhutu geyser, a large active geyser.  We may have a chance to see the Kiwi – New Zealand’s native birds there. After visiting Government Garden, we will take the Gondola Ride to the summit of the mountain and have a Seafood Buffet Dinner at the famous Skyline Restaurant.

Day 6|Oct 24|Rotorua Taupo – Auckland|(B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will continue our trip to Wai-O-Tapu to see the natural wonders of thermal pools and the Lady Knox Geyser. Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is renowned for being New Zealand’s Most Colourful Geothermal area and has been named one of the “20 Most Surreal Places you need to see to believe” by the worlds’ largest travel site Trip Advisor.  Afterwards, we will travel further south to Huka Falls, a thundering 11- meter high waterfall and the most visited and photographed natural attraction in New Zealand. The sheer volume of water flowing over the falls amounts to 220,000 liters per second – enough to fill an Olympic sized swimming pool in 11 seconds! Then, we will visit Taupo Township and Lake Taupo.  Lake Taupo lies in the caldera of the Taupo Volcano in North Island.  With a surface area of 616 square kilometers (238 sq mi), it is the largest lake by surface area in New Zealand, and the second largest freshwater lake by surface area in geopolitical Oceania after Lake Murray (Papua New Guinea).

Day 7|Oct 25|Auckland|(B, L)
Today’s highlight is an Auckland City Tour. Straddling a narrow isthmus created by 60 different volcanoes, New Zealand’s former capital boasts scenic beauty, historical sites and a cosmopolitan collection of shops, restaurants, museums, galleries and gardens.  Our first stop is The Auckland War Memorial Museum, one of New Zealand’s most important museums and war memorials.  Its collections concentrate on New Zealand history, natural history, and military history. The museum is also one of the most iconic Auckland buildings, constructed in the neo-classicist style, and is built on a grassy plinth (the remains of a dormant volcano) in the Auckland Domain, the oldest public park in Auckland close to the CBD. We will drive to the summit of Mt. Eden for a panoramic view of the city.  As we reach its peak, we will be able to see the Harbor Bridge and the Yacht Club.  Next, we will visit Savage Memorial Park and Mission Bay, Auckland’s most urban beach with a vibrant beachfront promenade.  We will have some free time for last minute shopping this afternoon.

Day 8| Oct 26|Auckland – Fiji|(B)
Today, we will transfer to the airport for the flight to Fiji, the heart of the South Pacific.  Fiji is blessed with 333 tropical islands that are home to some of the happiest people on earth.  Famous for its soft coral diving, white sand beaches and pristine natural environment, Fiji is a haven for conservation.  Upon arrival at Nadi International Airport, an Air & Sea Travel representative will greet and escort us to our hotel. Nadi is a bustling multi-cultural town and the main hub for international travelers, offering great places to eat, drink and shop.
