We will arrive at Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport tonight. Upon our arrival, an Air & Sea Travel representative will greet and escort us to our hotel. Sydney is Australia’s oldest and largest city founded in 1788 with the arrival of the “First Fleet” transporting 760 British convicts. Today, Sydney is the largest port in the South Pacific and is often voted the most popular destination in the South Pacific. Long-term immigration has led to the city’s reputation as one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse cities in Australia and the world.
Day 3|Feb 05|Sydney|(B, D)
After breakfast, we will have a city tour of Sydney. We will have a private guided tour of the Sydney Opera House, a masterpiece of late modern architecture and a symbol of both Sydney and Australia. It has earned a reputation as a world-class performing arts center and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. St Mary’s Cathedral stands in the center of Sydney as a Christian statement of grace and beauty. Generations of artists have bequeathed their magnificent gifts in stone and glass to it, designing a unique space of solace and prayer within this vibrant city. This Cathedral represents the spiritual origins of the Catholic Church in Australia. It is one of Sydney’s most treasured historic buildings and one of the finest examples of English-style gothic churches in the world. We will visit Wild Life Sydney Zoo, Australia’s most unique and best wildlife park to enjoy an amazing animal adventure. Meet Rex, the huge 5 meter crocodile in Kakadu Gorge; see Creatures of the night in the Nightfall Habitat; cuddle up to Koalas at Koala Encounters; and watch Agile Wallaby. Enjoy some free time shopping at QVB (Queen Victoria Building), described by Pierre Cardin as “the most beautiful shopping center in the world”.

Today, we will transfer to embark on the newly renovated Diamond Princess at Port Sydney. The Diamond Princess Cruise ship boasts 700 balconies–perfect for capturing incredible landscapes and intriguing city skylines across the globe.
