We start our vacation by boarding an international flight bound for Manila. Meals and snacks will be served on the plane.

Oct 10 (Sun)                            Manila – Singapore
Today we will fly from Manila to Singapore. Arrive at Changi International Int’l Airport. Air & Sea Travel Center representative will greet us and escort us to our hotel.

Oct 11 (Mon)                          Singapore                                                            (B, L)
Start the city tour by discovering the history, culture and lifestyle of multi-racial Singapore. Drive past the 'Colonial Heart' before proceeding to Merlion Park, Thian Hock Keng Temple and Chinatown. Next visit a local handicraft centre, National Orchid Garden located within Botanic Gardens before our final stop at Little India. Welcome lunch will be hosted by Air & Sea Travel Center. In the evening, we go to the Hawker Centre. It is the significant food culture and attraction for food sampling. We will enjoy all kinds of Snacks and Cuisine on own.

After breakfast, we will cross the Johor Causeway, which links Singapore to Peninsula Malaysia. After brief formalities, you will enter Johor Bharu - the most southern state of Malaysia. Enroute to Malacca, you will pass lush tropical jungle, rubber and palm oil plantation and enchanting laid-back, kampong or Malay villages. At a rest stop in Aw Pottery you can witness traditional methods of firing pottery maintained by four generations of potters. After lunch, we tour the historical city of Malacca visiting major attractions of St. Paul’s Hill, the renowned Porta De Santiago, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and Jonkers Street where you can hunt antique souvenirs. Visit the Baba Nyonya Museum - for an interesting insight of the lifestyle & tradition of the unique peranakans. Originating from a combination of both Chinese and Malay influences in cooking, Nyonya food uses generous amount of spices, coconut milk and shrimp paste (or locally known as sambal belacan) to enhance the taste of food. Enjoy a sumptuous Nyonya dinner. Once you have tried Nyonya food, you will never forget the irresistible thick gravies with seafood or meat that match perfectly with rice and noodles!

In the morning, we will drive to Genting Highlands. Genting Highlands popularly known as, the 'City of Entertainment' and is just 50kms from Kuala Lumpur or KL. It is at times referred as the Las Vegas of Malaysia as it is the only legal land-based casino in Malaysia. It is one of the Malaysia's premier holiday and convention destination. After check-in the hotel, we are free to explore the casino.

Today, we rejoin the highway passing Kuala Lumpur - the capital city of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur popularly called as KL .It is the capital and the largest city in Malaysia. The word Kuala Lumpur literally means 'muddy estuary' in Malay.

We will have a city tour in Kuala Lumpur. Visit Batu Caves, Pewter Factory, Batik Demonstration Center, National Monument, King’s Palace, Independence Square, Twin Tower (outside view), Bintang Walk, and Pavilion Mall. Lunch features Chicken Break and Bak Kut Teh. In the afternoon, we will have convention registration for attendees or free shopping time for non-attendees.

Depart to airport and fly back to Honolulu, taking home the lasting memories of magnificent trip.

2010 KUALA LUMPUR - ZHONGSHAN CONVENTION

MANILA EXTENSION

TRAVEL DATES: 10/9 – 23

In the morning, we start going to Corregidor Island. This tadpole-shaped island lying at the entrance of Manila Bay, 25 miles west of Manila, is a symbol of determined resistance of Filipino and American soldiers against Japanese invaders during World War II.  “The Rock,” as it is often referred to, is accessible by an hour’s fast ferry ride from Manila.  A guided tour of Corregidor on board a tranvia is a trip down memory lane for war veterans and history buffs.  The Light and Sound Show shouldn’t be missed.  It is a multi-vision show where moving moments of the war are shown within the confines of Malinta Tunnel.  Lunch will be arranged. Ferry is the only transportation to the island. The balance of the day is free time. We can go to the Mall of Asia, the largest shopping in Asia on own.

After breakfast, we will transfer to airport and fly to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, we will take ferry to Zhongshan. Meet Air & Sea Travel representative in Zhongshan pier. Transfer to hotel and free at leisure for the rest of the day.
